Commentary from Brother Dave at TPOK:The further and further we get away from the 80′s and the Reagan era the more I realize just how an amazing time that really was for the USA. Reagan truly was a giant among all of our Presidents. He was the first President to bring us out of the shadow of FDR by helping to shrink the Federal government. He did not pull any punches when critiquing the way the government ran things.
This article and video interview with Mr Perle illustrates the smart people that Reagan surrounded himself with. I believe that we are on a collision course with history. We have a chance to right the ship and avoid the rocks. But that will only happen with God’s help! America must turn back to God or face destruction. We may believe that we are ‘all that’ but somehow I believe the LORD is waiting for us to WAKE UP, repent, and turn to Him.
We have got to defend Israel! If we turn our backs on God’s people we are asking to be wiped out. The Devil is lurking and scheming on how to destroy Israel, that has been his mission since God created man. He tried to destroy the Lord Jesus when He was a baby and of course did not succeed. He has tried through out time to destroy the Apple of God’s eye. I believe like you probably do that we are in the last days and things are accelerating toward the events outlined in the book of Revelation!
I offer this prayer in humility and out of a contrite heart. (Although I need a lot of work to get there it is only by God’s grace that I can speak at all).
Dear Father God. I ask in the name of Jesus that you help our leaders, our President, our Congress, and our Justice system to turn their hearts to you! Lord as you know I am not a preacher or a teacher or even a consistent man living your Word! Lord I start with myself as I fumble for the words to ask you for help. Lord our nation our church our people have turned on you in complete rebellion. Lord I repent of my inconsistent life, and my terrible witness to others. Lord start with me please let me be a light in what ever way you can help me.
Lord I lift up this prayer and my life to ask you to turn America to you once again! Lord guide our leaders whether we like them or not. God you placed them in authority over us. Lord break down the wall that we ourselves have put up! Lord cause us to see our sin. The list of our known grievances against you is staggering! At the top is the legislation if abortion. Dear Lord we have to strike down this provision in our land. Lord, abortion is murder and we are killing your creation. Lord place a strong opposition against this practice in our congress. Only by your word can we even begin to see how stained we are with sin. Lord again I ask, please start with me.
For the peace of Jerusalem!
