What Congressman Jackson is suggesting is in my opinion the equivalent of asking for Social Justice to become a “Basic Right”. Adding this to the Bill of Rights or in any other form of amendment is to add to the US Constitution a “positive” right. If I read the US Constitution correctly and as is affirmed by others the US Bill of rights and rest of the Constitution and the other 17 amendments to it are what we call here in America “Negative” rights.
Why “Negative”? Why so gloomy of a term? Why such a downer? Well because when the Founding Fathers deliberated and hammered out the US Constitution through debate and the wisdom of prudence, and I’m sure lots and lots of Prayer, they produced the US Constitution and later the first 10 amendments that we now call the Bill of Rights. These rights are negative such that they line up what our own government “cannot” do to its citizens. These rights tell us in no uncertain terms how the government should be less intrusive in our lives. History painfully shows us that when our own government however well-meaning tries’ to help it only ends up helping itself to our own tax dollars! How big of a program does Congressman Jackson in vision? Where would the end be to government involvement in helping to create jobs? A trillion dollar stimulus and bailouts did not seem to help us! Milwaukee the town I live in now was recently listed as one of the top ten poorest cities in the USA! But WI is also in the top 20 highest taxed states! That to me speaks volumes that throwing money at something or someone does not necessarily help the person that needs help! I won’t break down what a punch in the gut it was to find out that WI still has a higher tax rate than ILL does even after they raised their tax rates by 66%! It is fantasy to try and do what he is asking and it will actually have the opposite effect of His intent. Also remember that whatever the government gives to us it can take away that quickly, as we are again seeing played out all over the USA today, from WI to New York, and over the CA and beyond. People everywhere are seeing that effect of FDR’s New Deal in a bloated and now completely bankrupt Social Security program. LBJ’s Great Society is falling apart now by crushing the USA’s economy with over stretched Medicaid and Medicare programs. To even consider adding a job creating program as amendment that is the equivalent of Habitat for Humanity is absurd! Ronald Reagan said it best “Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem.”

The Party Of No vs. The Party Of Know

This website is a one stop source to educate Great Americans on “Progressives” and provide a social medium for those that want to change our country back to what the Founding Fathers established when they wrote the Constitution, not what they have “Fundamentally Transformed America” into. If you oppose Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the Progressive’s social agenda, they will accuse you of being a member of “The Party of No” when in reality you are “The Party Of Know”. If you believe our elected officials should say “No” when you “Know” that this country is heading in the wrong direction then please become a member to enjoy the resources I have compiled and share this site and your educated opinion with others….Spread the word around not the wealth!
