AARP’s Non-Profit Status Under Fire Over Insurance Income

Generation America and Gen•A Voice were founded in reaction to the irresponsible spending and runaway government of the current Administration and Congress. We were founded to be the Conservative Voice for mature Americans. We listen to our members and advocate for them on the issues that concern them the most. We support three basic principles:

•Stopping “cap and trade” legislation and any Gas or Carbon taxes

Organizations such GA,FW, HF AND THE TEA PARTY were the reason we won in November because we were organized and we had power in numbers. Why then are these organizations NOT continuing to put pressure on these elected officials that we put into office and get them focused on getting serious about reducing our debt, creating MEANINGFUL,STABILE jobs, secure the border, eliminate ANCHOR BABY citizenship and BENEFITS, increase our military and weapons capability, get serious about medicaid fraud, eliminate ear marks and special interest groups. Your organizations should get together and insist that these politicians make a PRIORITY LIST and knock each one out. If you don’t we’re going to CONTINUE TO SPIN OUR WHEELS.
FOR GODS SAKE AND AMERICA DO SOMETHING!!

I was a member of AARP. They betrayed my trust – - – using my membership dues for their (not the membership’s) left wing influences in Washington and elsewhere. They supported/pushed passage of the Obama Health Care bill which is already a travesty.

Thank you for being there – - – hopefully a voice for the senior citizens of America – - – not a voice for President Obama who does not believe in America – - – to him, there is nothing special about America “and he is committed to cutting America down to size”?

I left AARP due to their political agenda. Specifically, I strongly disagree with their stand which says that Americans to too stupid to directly invest their own money, which has been taken by the government in the form of Social Security. The government hasn’t done very well with that money! How could a dull normal person do worse with their own money?

I have looked into other organizations. I like the stated interests of Generation America, but, to be honest, while I am a hard core conservative, I want something for me for my twenty four bucks. I would love to see more discounts and hope that they are coming. I will probably join, but not today. I rarely spend money on something the first day I look at it.

I AM A TRUE CONSERVATIVE,AND I HATE/DISLIKE ALOT OF THINGS THAT’S GOING ON BUT DONT KNOW WHO TO CONVERSATE WITH TO GET THE WORD OUT . To GANESH RAMLOCHAN and all others that call themselves conservatives that resist spending an extra $7.50 more or are in any way concerned about benefits are not really conservative or are shills for AARP. When thousands have given their lives to give and protect your freedoms, you are indeed pathetic if you can not donate the complete $24.00 to help protect your freedoms. This is the reasons liberals are taking your freedoms and lining their pockets because of people like you who will not get off their butts to stop them.

We need to convince America that this election is either the retun or end to Democracy as we all remember it. We are at a turning point where our current “Nanny State” mentality is about strong enough to take control. The more people who can get things for free will never relinquish that state of being and less people will remember what really made this nation great.
Our great nation will fade into the history books to be replaced by China and India. They will lead/influence the world in a way that will not be productive or good.
I’m with you all the way as long as that is your business plan.

I also am thinking of leaving AARP. Was dissapointed in their support of obamacare.

I understand there is another alternative to AARP in AMAC. Can someone explain the difference between Generation America and AMAC (the conservative alternative to AARP)?

20 years ago I joined AARP. After I joined AARP kept sending me mailings asking me to join. I was never able to reach anyone by phone or mail to get this straightened out. They are a 1 way street – money flows in and forget anything coming back.

There is no doube that the people in power are pushing this once great nation into socialism. Even though an examination of history will show that socialism and communism have failed wherever and whenever they have been tried. The obama crowd have successfully created masive voting blocks of takers…especially illegal alians. It has gotten to the point that the takers in the system, far outnumber the contributers. They have also succeeded in dumbing down the population at large so that they are incapable of analyzing even the basic of issues. FOr some reason the media has been a willing participant in this endevour as if they would be somehow immune to the result. Unfortunately, i don’t know how this overpowering situation can be chanaged without the total or near total destruction of the way of life as we know it. My wife is from Russia and lived under the USSR regime. Most of the people here have no idea what that is like. Even today, the residual effect in the Ukraine and Russia is devestating. My wife has many friends here that would rather live in the street here, than go back to their homeland.

Like others here, I would like to know more about Generation America before joining. There is nothing wrong with wanting have to know where dues are going and someone should not join an organization without checking it out because, as we all know, there are so many fraudulent organizations out there. So I disagree with the person who complains that others here should be ashamed of themselves for not simply joining.

The problem is that I cannot find much (if any) independent information about Generation America. Wikipedia doesn’t even have an entry.

My wife and I dropped AARP like a hot potato when we learned of their liberal agenda. The final straw was when I learned of their radical anti-gun agenda.

Anyway, I am glad to see that AARP has some competition but I just need to know more about Generation America. I simply can’t find any objective information about it.

So people start complaining about AARP supporting Obamacare and suddenly they don’t support it anymore? I remember the commercials! They wouldn’t have denied it if they didn’t feel their tax exemption was in trouble. 1 out of 14 supported ‘nobama care’? We aren’t stupid.
Last winter, we moved back to northern Illinois. I got very sick with bronchial infection. I went to an immediate care. They said I had a $54 bill, from 3 years ago and they couldn’t treat me until it was paid. In my 59 years, I have never been turned away from medical care until Obama.
When I made an appointment for a local doctor, it took 4 months to get in. I saw the nurse practitioner until the doctor. This has never happened before. All my life, my husband paid in and I paid in. Now a ‘panel’ will decide if I live or die. Way to go AARP!!
Anyone know a better net provider than AOL? I’m sick of their politicitis as well. bren

I would love to leave AARP but the United Health medigap insurance is the best ever.
It is the ONLY thing holding me back as AARP annoys me daily with their agenda and continuous mailings asking me to write my congressman to support it. They are out of line.
Anyone know of an alernate insurance?

I have not been pleased with AARP’s support of Obama Care and numerous other lefest groups. But there didn’t seem to be another choice. I dropped AARP a few years ago however the wife still belongs to it. That will change very soon. Thank you for your TV ads. Gary

I, like Diane (October 30, 2012) am only there for their medigap insurance. I can’t find anything comparable. If anyone has, please advise and I will DROP AARP in 1/2 second. I really hope YOU, G-America, can really compete and pose a viable threat to AARP. If you do, I’m there 1,000%. I need more information also. (gipole1@gmail.com)
